In honor of being more than 2/3rds of the way through illustrating my story “Wall Street Cat; Money Takes Naps”, I’ve decided to post the cover and a bonus amusing anecdote.  ”Wall Street Cat” will debut at SPACE in Ohio this March – it will also be available online and at the other conventions I plan to go to! Woohoo!

I went to visit my parents one afternoon, and I decided to bring my pages with me to show them my progress on ‘Wall Street’.  I showed my mom first, and she looked at them, and said that they looked nice.  When my dad looked at them, and I asked him what he thought, he told me they were great, and that the story was funny, etc.  After my dad praised the book, my mom offered some criticism – “Why doesn’t he have a tie?  He should be wearing a tie!”  I wasn’t sure if she was kidding or not, and I said to her “He does – he starts wearing it on page 3 or 4!”.  Apparently, she wasn’t kidding, but at least I know having Ike wear a tie must kind of be a cute idea…
