Actually, just one review for now…kindly gent Kevin over at Optical Sloth reviewed “Wall Street Cat – Money Takes Naps” eariler this month – check out the review here!
“Worth a look, at least unless you hate cats” - my favorite quote from the whole review.
Kevin also called my cat naming abilities into question - I assure you, if we named all tabbies with ‘M’ names because of the hairy M’s on their foreheads, the world would be sorely lacking in cats named Ike, Duncan, or Chuck right now. And that would be a darn shame, indeed.
Onward! As you kids probably know, I have a short comic featured in Aftershock – Artists Respond to Disaster in Japan. Well, now the soft-cover book is out! Get your hard copies here or your new fangled e-book copies here ! E-book copies are only $2.99? Incredible! Plus, feel good when you buy this (or gift it, *nudge nudge*) – all the procedes are going to rebuilding and rehabilitating efforts in Tohuku and Kanto.
On the new stuff front, work in Super Lobotomy is fully underway – I’m looking forward to previewing some pages in the coming days/weeks. It’s shaping up to be my best, and possibly strangest book yet. I’ll let you guys be the judge of that, though.
Lasty, here’s a funny news story that is surprisingly relevent to this shrine of crazy crap in my head: A cat named Dodger in Dorset, England, apparently loves to take bus trips on his own! Like our very own (fictional) public-transit enthusiast Ike, he’s a big, friendly orange tabby boy (see above) that likes to sit in (paying) passengers’ laps, and take a bus ride loop around town. His owner thinks it’s because he likes the warmth of the bus, but I’m betting Dodger has a secret job, maybe as a mill-hand or fish-monger or some equally antiquated, Oliver Twist-ian British-sounding profession. Who knew Ike has an English soul-brother? Check out the article, and marvel at how glad you are that you keep your cats inside, where they can’t screw with the system – I bet those bus rides add up! (thanks to Steve Seck for sending me the link!)
