Wow – the last couple weeks have been really nuts!  In the past few weeks, I’ve rescued a cat, (she’s adoptable!), completed thumbnails for “Super Lobotomy”, experienced my first earthquake (today, in New York, of all places!), and exhibited at PACC (Philly Alternative Comic Con).

PACC was hot and rainy, which I think deterred some comix-lovers, but the brave and loyal showed up.  I saw Rob from Panel Patter, Morgan Pielli, Steve Seck, Alisa Harris, L Nichols and Lance Hansen.  I even met some new comics folks at the pre-party the night before, and through trades at the show!  It’s the first time I’ve gotten out from behind my table in a long time! Without further ado…

Left: Lance Hansen’s “Hayseed” Phenakistoscope – A magical pinwheel & visual trickery lesson all rolled into one thingy!  Good thing I have two of these (Steve has one too!), so I can make one, and keep one for the art!

Middle: Dominique Martin “Cat Fun Pack”, Postcard, and Mini Comic – Dominique’s table was across the aisle from mine, and I kept glancing over at her “You Will Not Die A Cat Lady” mini- comic – being a cat person, I decided that I needed the reassurance! I later traded a cat book for a cat pack, and ended up with two neat mini comics, a postcard print, some cat stickers, and a cute cat-themed hair clip!

Right: Sally Bloodbath – The FRANK Truth: A Story of Friendship – a book about the meeting of Anne Frank & Santa Claus is fun, cute, and kinda touching too!

My PACC booty was definitely a quality, not quantity, haul – and I’m happy with all the neat things I got!  Next up, SPX on September 10th and 11th!!
